Braided Memory Rugs

My Great Aunt in 1963 with a beautiful braided rug she made with silk ribbons from funeral floral arrangements.  My Mom still has rugs made of wool that her Mom braided decades ago. They look just as beautiful today over 60 years later. My Mom and sister taught me the skill so I now can keep the memories going.

Made with 45 yards of 5 strand braided organic cottons, cotton and silk clothing of a recent client.

Made with 20 yards of 5 strand braided black, white and red cotton clothing.

Made with cotton shirts of husband and wife.  Completed size 17.5”
